Price $

This is a beautiful 1700’s dental tooth key replica that was given to dentists in the 1950s by a dental supply company called Astra Pharmaceutical Products.  It comes with original box and 4-page booklet.  A portion of booklet reads: “This 1700s Key was probably known as the English Key, which is also referred to as the Fothergill’s Key……”.  Notice on handle the elevator to lift tooth about to be removed.  It is made of metal and in exact detail of very rare and seldom found tooth keys of the 1700s.  These 50+ year old reproductions are highly sought by collectors, as they too are nearly as scarce as original tooth keys that sell for $ 300 to $ 500.   The original box is a little rough and labeled to Hebern J. Patrick, DDS in Paint Lick. Kentucky (No zip code in the 1950s).  This tooth key is in excellent condition and will highlight any collection of antique dental instruments.
