In the 1950s the advent of the transistor and button battery new technology offered much smaller hearing aids and wild style eye glass designs. These are original 1950s Cat Eye Glasses with hearing aid built into the frames. They are ladies glasses in Cat Eye design with a tiny Zenith hearing aid built into right side. They are stamped Zenith Royal Medallion. Notice the bifocals in glasses below semi circle oval that was also an advancement of the period. Cat Eye glasses can be found in the book Spectacles, Lorgnettes and Monocles but without hearing aid. Although the combination was very expensive, many folks sought these new technology marvels with frame style of the 1950s era. We have no way of testing, but they are in very good display condition from near 60 years ago.
