This is IBM’s original 1950s to 1960s “THINK” Plaque desk display in wood with laminated THINK on front and back. The “THINK” slogan was coined by Thomas Watson, IBM President in 1940 and he summarized the IBM philosophy with a motto consisting of this one word. The word was the placed on nearly every conspicuous wall of every room in every IBM building and wooden desk signs made for each employee. Later, the more common models were made all of plastic. It was a first in marketing subliminal mental messages to employee’s to suggest that we “THINK” before making a decision. IBM provided these rare plaques to their best customers in the 1950s. This treasure is seldom found and only few now exist. This IBM “THINK” treasure has a wood base frame and laminated face with “THINK” on both sides and original owners name on bottom. Size is 7.25” x 4.25” high. This is a very rare treasure from 50+ years ago that is museum quality to preserve computer history and for a very serious collector. THINK about this for your collection.
