This is a core memory plane made by Univac for the AN / UYK-7 computer that was used on nuclear attack submarines, aircraft carriers and other navy ships. Our thanks to Computer Expert and Historian Daniel House for helping us identify and preserve provenance notes on this treasure. He also mentions the complete computer was called “Embedded Rugedized Mainframes”, custom built to government standards by Univac. Bottom photo is the UYK-7 Navy Computer Console that was made in 1970s (Not included). Only this 3.5” x 3” core memory is offered. It is very rare to find these old core memories, especially one from government attack submarines.
