IBM introduced in 1969 the Magnetic Card Selectric Typewriter that used these cards for memory.  There are two, 2, cards in case.  One labeled IBM and the other BASF in IBM card board case.  They were referred to as the MT/ST and MC/ST in the exact same size as the common 5081 card.  They were used to record text, editing and replaying typed material at 12 to 15 characters per second.  A similar recording mechanism for tape was a reader connected to IBM 360 series.  These machines were among the first to provide word processing capability in any form.  Seldom found and rare, these will highlight any collection of memorabilia.
